Functional AI Solutions Architect
How I work.
What your business receives.
I analyse your business, its processes and information flows. I then prioritise opportunities and define how the solutions worth developing should work.
What is happening and what is worth resolving
I work with management and the people carrying out the process to identify difficulties, verify their consequences and assess alternatives.
What I do
- Understand objectives and agree which processes to review.
- Reconstruct the team's workflow through interviews and examples.
- Check where time, information or coordination are lost.
- Compare process improvements, knowledge management, automation and AI.
What you receive
- A report with findings, evidence and open questions.
- A map of processes and information flows.
- Opportunities ranked by value and feasibility.
- A roadmap to decide next steps.
A guest requests early check-in. I review how reception gets confirmation from housekeeping and whether delays or conflicting responses occur. Before proposing a solution, we must verify the difficulty and its impact.
How the solution should behave
When an opportunity is justified, I turn it into a functional specification for the client and technical team to review before development.
What I do
- Define users and the results they need.
- Identify the information required and its owners.
- Design steps, rules and exceptions.
- Determine what requires human approval and how to test the behaviour.
What you receive
- A document describing what the solution must do.
- A workflow outline, inputs and outputs.
- Requirements, owners, sources and limits.
- Test scenarios to verify the agreed requirements.
I define a rule: do not promise early check-in without confirmation that the room is ready. I specify who confirms, where it is recorded and what response an assistant may prepare for reception to review.
Ensure the solution meets business needs
If this phase is agreed, I support the client and technical team in resolving functional questions and reviewing the result with its users.
What I do
- Clarify the process and expected behaviour.
- Review demonstrations and prototypes with users.
- Check routine cases and exceptions.
- Verify results and propose functional adjustments.
What you receive
- A record of decisions and agreed changes.
- Functional test results.
- A list of adjustments and open questions.
- A recommendation to continue, correct or expand the pilot.
We test a request without housekeeping confirmation. If the assistant promises availability, it fails the rule. I record the failure so it can be corrected and retested with reception and the technical team.
